Norwegian offshore shipping firm Eidesvik Offshore has started retrofit work to convert its LNG-fuelled platform supply vessel Viking Energy to ammonia propulsion.
The vessel has entered dock at Halsnoy Dokk to begin installation of a dual-fuel ammonia engine supplied by marine technology firm Wartsila Marine, Eidesvik said in a LinkedIn update on Monday.
