A rare sight in the sky — the Spanish-built CASA 2.111, the post-war descendant of the famous Heinkel He 111. Filmed by us over 25 years ago. Instead of the original Jumo engines used in World War II, this one thunders along with Rolls-Royce Merlins — giving it a totally different sound and character. The He 111 became one of Germany’s key bombers early in the war, flying major missions during the Blitz and across multiple fronts. Seeing its Spanish-built successor in the air today is a glimpse
