Lets step on some toes... What is the purpose of the finger sling, when they don't use it? Is it really necessary? Or is it just a matter of trend being passed down through generations? Here you can clearly see the fingers pressing the bow into the palm (notice the fingertips turning white from the pressure). I don't think it's necessary.
